John Sands continued his consistent golf form with an excellent score of plus 5 in the Tuross Head men’s golf par competition this week.
Chris Halligan filled second placing with plus 3 followed by Robert McDonald plus 2 then Allen Gannon and Richard Wharton who both finished with plus 1.
Balls were distributed down to minus 2 scores.
Tuross Head men golfers and visiting players are reminded that the Open Championships commence on Saturday November 30th.
Nearest the pins were won by A grade players:
Frank Pomfret on the 4th hole with 1.5 m.
Ian Lawson was closest on the 6th with 2.18 m and
Troy Kingdom was best on the 7th with 5.52 m.
B grade golfer Ian Manton won the 4th hole with 11.80 m. and
Steve Collins the 6th with 4.24 m.
The days winner John Sands was closest on the 4th hole with 1.88 m and David Dow was awarded the 6th with 8.72 m.
Thursday’s medley stableford event was won by David Schmid with 43 points ahead of Paul Israel 40, Trevor Jones 39 and Roger Chappell 37 points.
Nearest the pins were won by Roger Chappell, Mick Hogan and Peter Dugan.
