Tomakin Twist Tops Bowls Report

Welcome to the travelling bowlers who were with us for the weekend from Crookwell. Saturday afternoon was spent bowling in lovely sunshine, then afterwards we all enjoyed each others company and a delicious meal in Club Tomakin’s special dining room. Sunday morning Twist Top’s committee did a great job cooking a barbecue breakfast. President Steve Hogan welcomed the 40 bowlers that were present from both clubs. Skips from Tomakin and Crookwell were nominated then remaining bowlers selected sticks for their positions in the team, some teams had members from both clubs in them. The morning was quite cool but all matches were finished before it started to rain a little. Winners were selected on a Drawn card, Cheryl, Judy Hancock, Joan Colefax, Karen Signor. Runners-up, Madge Elliott, Sue Bender and Neil Seaman. Other winning teams, Margaret Carney, Rob Handley and June Howard. Ellie Crompton, Alma Scott, Milka Starkovski and Brian Wheeler. Tricia Wheeler, Steve Hogan and Henry Butler .Ruth Ebsworth, Roland Krikowa and Karen James. Special thanks to President Steve Hogan and committee for all the work they put in to make the weekend such a great success, what you do is very much appreciated by us all. Barry Storrier from Crookwell thanked Twist Tops for such an enjoyable weekend and they will all look forward to next year when we will travel to Crookwell for a return visit.
