The Southern NSW Local Health District Annual Public Meeting is to be held at 2.00pm on Thursday November 3rd at the Royal Hotel in Queanbeyan Annual Public Meetings are held to give the community an opportunity to meet with the Board and Executive of the Health District.
Southern NSW LHD leadership will share achievements and challenges from the past 12 months and how we are meeting the objectives for our future direction according to our Strategic Plan.
Southern NSW LHD appreciates your questions and encourages you to email any queries you may have before the event to SNSWLHD-YourFeedback@health.nsw.gov.au, and they will endeavour to answer them at the Annual Public Meeting.
Guest speaker: Dr Arnagretta Hunter will give a short presentation about Health, Sustainability and Climate Change.
Dr Arnagretta Hunter is a physician, cardiologist and the Human Futures Fellow in the College of Health and Medicine and the Australian National University. She has practiced medicine in major cities and regional centres across eastern Australia with a patient-centred focus. She has a broad interest in public policy from local issues to global challenges. She is a member of ANU Institute for Climate Energy and Disaster Solutions and is Chair of the Commission for the Human Future.
Her work is diverse and centres around human health and wellbeing, the relationship between health and the environment and the challenge of climate change.
