Narooma & District Lions Club Flood Appeal May 2nd

Despite the effects of the past rain-filled days, Sunday 10th proved to be a winner at the Lion’s monthly Dalmeny Community Market at which the Narooma & District Lions Club held a Flood Appeal.

As well as from the donations bucket, all the proceeds from their 3 projects, the Sausage Sizzle, Devonshire Teas and Trade Table will go towards the appeal via Lion’s National Campaign for the relief of flood affected people of QLD and NSW.

The Fund Raising started off in March and will continue for a short while longer. The funds will then be added to by the Club and forwarded to the National Lions Appeal.

The Club President, Ricci Bishop, stated that she was humbled by the generosity of people towards those in need. “Whether it be a farmer or a townie, so many lives have been affected that there is a great need to provide practical help. And the most effective way is to have money available for the specific needs that are evolving all the time”
