The big question across the South East has been "What will Constance do if he doesn't win?" He has already moved to leave State Parliament and stand in Eden Monaro, then he resigned from State Parliament to contest Gilmore. It has been an unknown if he was to consider standing for the seat of Bega again given the very poor reception now being given to him over pork-barrelling decisions made in Batemans Bay, failures of communication with the electorate and the considerable support now held by the new Member for Bega, Dr Michael Holland. He is correct though, the campaign in Gilmore has been toxic, mainly led by the toxic campaign of his own party in their slogans, saturation of marketing and via the two big belching blue busses.
