Club Malua Women's Bowls Report

Bowls Organiser David Thomas and President Sue Beavan welcomed 35 ladies on a coolish and very windy day making bowling tricky. David announced with much sadness that dear friend and fellow bowler Julie Lewis passed away on Easter Saturday morning. Julie had quite a battle over the past year but was so brave and always positive. Julie will

be sadly missed by us all but is now Resting in Peace. Julie's Funeral will take place Friday 21st April, 11 am at Broulee Gardens. Sincere condolences to her family and friends.

All those present stood for a minute's silence in Julie's honour.

David decided we would select teams differently this week so all chose a card from the Pack to find our playing positions. Kings versus Aces, Jacks versus Queens , 9's versus 10's, you get the idea !!

Winners on Rink 2, Janet McKay, Gay Biggs and Karen Signor.

Runners-up Rink 1, Pat Biddolph, Sonia Frey and Ellie Crompton.

Lucky Losers Rink 3, Jeanette Roberts, Rae Fayle and Sue Beavan.

Lucky number winner on 18 Paula Hancock.

Other winning teams, Joan Fitzroy, Bev McKague and Anna Stewart. Carmel Price, Paula Hancock and Alison Innes. Joan Rimmer, swinging Lead with Robyn Butcher and Fran Lucas . Connie Anderson, Tricia Wheeler and Pat Bill. Well done Connie bowling like a champion.

Had message from Vice-President Jan who enjoys reports whilst she is away.
