Club Malua Women's Bowls Report

Last Saturday the men's and ladies teams bowled the Challenge Shield between Milton/Ulladulla and Club Malua. Everyone had a great time and thanks to Milton/Ulladulla who hosted the event, providing morning tea as well as a sausage sizzle for lunch which was much appreciated. President Rob thanked everyone who took part, with Club Malua the eventual winner on 382 to Milton/Ulladulla 375 so very close scores. Tuesday there were 36 ladies on the green bowling in Fours and Triples matches, some of our ladies looking very smart in their new uniforms. Winners on Rink1, Janet McKay, Helen Rees, Jan Shalders , Margaret Bridges. Runners-up Rink5, Judy Armstrong, Jean Beeley , Sue Tyson. Rink 3 was selected to try for Jackpot of $418, winning Skip Yvonne Huddleston chose the card but no luck finding the Joker, so one less card next week. Other winning teams, Joan Fitzroy, June Ryan and Lisa Grice. Gay Biggs, Kim Giannasca, Pat Bill and Sue Beavan. Sonia Frey, Lyn Hardy, Pat Weekes and Yvonne Huddleston had a 19 all Draw with Pat Biddolph, Paula Hancock, Gayl Vidgen and Noleen Taylor. Money club winners, 59, Joan Fitzroy, 10, June Ryan. We all sang the Happy Birthday song to Pat Bill who is celebrating this week. Have been in contact with Gwen Ware who is managing with her left hand but says it will be a while before she can join us out on the green. We now have our Draws for Pennant Season which commences on 1st Sept. District Open and Senior Triples sheet is now up on the Board.
