Police, NSW Maritime and Primary Industry conduct 3 day operation on the Clyde

BATEMANS BAY

Police, NSW Maritime and Department of Primary Industry officers conducted a joint three day operation on the Clyde River and Batemans Bay on 27, 28 & 29 December 2016. This targeted the waterways for safety and compliance.

Day three results:

A total of 45 vessels were stopped including fishing vessels and recreational craft. Breath tests for alcohol were conducted with no positive results.

Six warnings were issued. Two infringement notices were issued for fishing in a sanctuary zone and one infringement notice issued for no lifejacket. Source
