Excellence recognised at awards

Eurobodalla business excellence was on show last week at two state awards ceremonies in Sydney.

The Unspoilt South Coast NSW tourism campaign and RegionX Kayaking were both highly commended at the 2016 NSW Tourism Awards on Thursday night, while five local businesses were finalists at the NSW Business Awards the following evening.

The Unspoilt campaign, a collaboration between five councils including Eurobodalla and Destination NSW, was highly commended in the destination marketing category, while RegionX Kayaking was highly commended in the ecotourism category.

Eurobodalla was also well represented at the 2016 NSW Business Chamber Business Awards on Friday night.

Tilba Real Dairy was nominated for Excellence in Small Business, Edgewater Gardens for Excellence in Export, Moruya Business Chamber for the Local Chamber of Commerce Award, Kendall Layt of KOKOH Bikini for Young Entrepreneur, and Yumaro Industries for Excellence in Business.

Mayor Liz Innes said she was incredibly impressed by the calibre of local businesses represented at both awards ceremonies.

“I was very proud to see so many of our hardworking business people recognised for their excellence,” she said.

“When you see this calibre of local people excelling at a state level, it’s clear we have an exciting future ahead for business and tourism in Eurobodalla.” Media Release Photo below: Eurobodalla businesses were represented at the 2016 NSW Tourism Awards and the 2016 Business Chamber Awards last week.
