The new Batemans Bay Bridge will be opened to traffic from 2pm on Saturday.

Traffic will be switched from the existing Clyde River Bridge onto the new bridge with one lane maintained in each direction.

The Clyde River Bridge will be permanently closed from this time.

Changed traffic conditions will be in place on local roads either side of the bridge.

Follow directions of signage and traffic controllers on site.

Four lanes of traffic will be opened on the new Batemans Bay Bridge later this year.

Members of the community will be able to cross the new bridge on foot ahead of it opening to traffic

There will no longer be direct access between the Princes Highway and Clyde Street, with vehicle access to Clyde Street via North Street.

Motorists using Clyde Street in Batemans Bay are advised that one lane will be closed next week as part of the Batemans Bay Bridge replacement project.

The closure will be in place from the morning of Monday 29 March between the boat ramp and T-wharf carparks, with traffic to be controlled by portable traffic signals.

Road users are advised that traffic changes will be in place on Clyde Street for up to six months to allow for foreshore upgrade works and removal of the old bridge.
