South Coast Rugby Union 10's Gala Day this Saturday

10-a-side Rugby Union Gala Day Saturday 24th October 2020 @ Hanging Rock Ovals, Batemans Bay

South Coast Rugby Union will run a 10-a-side Gala Day of Rugby this Saturday for men’s teams. The day has been planned to allow old Cubs on the Coast an opportunity to re-form and compete on a regular weekly basis in the future. South Coast Rugby has worked with Brumbies development staff to get this event going to gauge interest.

Already Bermagui Cobargo “Sharks” and Vincentia “Van Goughs” have re-formed and trained with good numbers to nominate teams. Interest has also been shown from Bega, Narooma & Milton to get teams back on the paddock after a number of years in hibernation. Established Clubs Batemans Bay, Broulee & Bungendore will compete in the event plus a Girls U/16 team playing on the day.

Games commence at 1.45pm at Hanging Rock Ovals, Batemans Bay using 2 fields with all teams playing 2 game each. Every game will be fast & furious with 2 x 15 minute halves played and no kicks at goal. Strict COVID procedures will be in place for all games and for organisors to conduct of a canteen.
