ROAD CLOSURES as at 10:00am Dec 11th

Council FLOOD UPDATE

Saturday 11 December 9.30am

Good news. Floodwaters are receding in our rivers and the main rain event is over. If you’re out and about, please take extra care on the roads and drive a little slower. Don’t cross road barriers - they’re in place for a reason. We expect high winds today, mixed with wet weather and bushfire affected trees can be dangerous - be extra careful. If you see anything hazardous, please call our after hours service on 1800 755 760.

Our crews are on the job, clearing up, restoring access and opening roads where they can as water recedes. We’re rescheduling our maintenance teams to tackle the new potholes asap, focusing on major local roads.

We’ve applied to the NSW Government for a natural disaster declaration - our ninth in two years. There’s lots of damage to repair, and this funding really helps.
