Photographers Slow Down For February

The competition challenge for the February meeting of the Eurobodalla Photographic Club was to present images that used slow camera shutter speed to intentionally blur parts of the image that were moving. This technique is often used in a creative way to show motion within a scene. The entries were judged by Tanya Stollznow a professional wildlife photographer from the South Coast who provided an excellent critique of the submitted images. Our grateful thanks to Tanya for taking the time to support our group.

Three members gave excellent presentations during the evening:

Bruno Fabo had great success in the photographic section of the 2022 Eurobodalla Show, winning numerous first prizes and Grand Champion awards with his images. Bruno kindly presented a slide show of his images and gave an insight into the background of the photographs.

Yvonne Mathews shared her own photographic journey, beginning with a keen interest in advertising and promotional images at the start of her career as a food economist, to school photographs and formals. A very enjoyable and entertaining talk.

Colin Pass completed the evening with a technical presentation on the use of colour and composition in photography. Everyone would have found useful tips and suggestions, demonstrated with Colins stunning images.
