Nelligen’s historic cemetery was severely impacted by the 31st December fire front, resulting in destruction of fencing, signs and gardens as well as with heat/ smoke damage to some family headstones.
The Nelligen Progress Association are advised that Eurobodalla Shire Council staff have already carried out a preliminary assessment of the damage so that planned restoration work can be undertaken. The work is anticipated to be in the short term.
