On Wednesday we had a turnout of 34 bowlers. Winners, decided by Highest Winning Margin, were Warren Bender, Neville Cork and John Downie (skip) who had a very close first half where they led 10 to nine after 11 before they drew clear to take their match 26 to 14 against Peter Hawker, Don Caldwell and Peter Jones (skip).
Second place went to Darrel Goodridge and Allan Chisholm (skip) who led 13 to 10 after 13 ends before they picked up some good ends for a 27 to 15 win against Ken Burrows and Mitch Mitchell (skip). Tony Cobcroft had the first resting toucher at 12. 46, before some of us had our bowls out. Well done Cobby, still all over the jack, as usual.. Thank you to Rapley and Sons for their continued support.
Saturday and Sunday play deferred to the great pairs and triples tournaments run by the NWBC.
