Moruya High School’s Dance Group will be participating in ‘Southern Stars: The Arena Spectacular’ this week where they will dance with over 3000 other students from NSW public schools.

Southern Stars is an annual showcase of talent at WIN Entertainment Centre that features vocalists, dancers, circus performers, drama students, a 500 voice choir and live orchestra.
It is the second year that Moruya High School has participated and the group has grown from 7 students to 19. Students have to rehearse at school weekly and attend several rehearsals in Wollongong to prepare for the event.
Meg Edenborough of Moruya High School said "Our southern stars will perform in four shows from Friday 23rd August and Saturday 24th August 2019 at Wollongong Entertainment Centre. This is a fantastic experience for the students to participate in a professional production, to represent our region and to perform in front of over 12,000 people."
"This wonderful opportunity has been made possible through the support of local businesses and community groups including Moruya Markets, Moruya Masonic Lodge, Tomakin Sports Club, Moruya Country Women’s Association, Moruya Woolworths and Moruya IGA.
