🌧Flooding
 Eurobodalla’s Emergency Operations Centre predict lighter rain overnight and tomorrow will make for fairly benign conditions on Tuesday.
 

A 2-metre tide tomorrow around midday is not expected to raise river levels as high as today.
 

More than 300mm of rain has fallen up to now at Araluen, causing the upper Deua River to rise rapidly then peak around 2pm. Where the Deua turns into the Moruya River closer to town, water levels remained within the banks. Another high tide is expected shortly after midnight tonight however with the rain easing and a mid-range tide this should not result in the river breaching its banks.
 

Areas west of Bodalla including Nerrigundah and Belowra continue to be isolated. The Tuross River rose rapidly under 200mm of rain and flooded a number of bridges, cutting off residents living in those areas. Flood water is predicted to recede over the next 24-48 hours and Council crews will reinstate access as soon as possible.
 

Eurobodalla Council’s opening of McLeods Creek at Surfside and Joes Creek in Batehaven allowed the Clyde River flood waters to flow to sea and prevent any major flooding of urban areas in the north of the shire. A slight overtopping of Murra Mia walkway and Beach Road at Caseys Beach in Batemans Bay created no significant damage.
 

The SES Flood Safety Watch for areas between the Hunter and Bega does remain current, and people living or working along rivers and streams in the Eurobodalla should continue to monitor conditions.

🚧Road closures
 These roads west of the highway in Eurobodalla’s Deau and Belowra valleys will remain closed due to flooding until further notice.

 Araluen Road at Kiora bridge
 Eurobodalla Road, Bodalla (and roads beyond)
 

🚗Road conditions
 Local roads have water and debris over them and motorists should take extra care. During heavy rain, please drive with lights on, reduce your speed, and leave plenty of room between you and the car ahead.

Minor slips have occurred on the Kings Highway, but the road is open. RMS crews will be in tomorrow to check on the highway again.
 

🥅Sportsground closures
 All Eurobodalla sportsgrounds are closed until further notice due to rain.
 

💧Deep Creek Dam and water use
 Eurobodalla’s water storage Deep Creek Dam is filling. Friday morning the dam was at 47.7% and reached 51% at 10am today. Level 4 water restrictions remain in place.
 

🏄‍♀️Waterways and swimming
 Rain is washing ash, sediment and debris from fire-affected areas into our creeks, rivers and the ocean. In normal circumstances Council says don’t swim for three days after heavy rain. But the burnt landscape means water quality is expected to be poor for longer. If the beach looks murky, please don’t swim in it.
 

💡Power
 No reports of power loss today, however, residents should continue to be prepared to lose power at home or work if heavy rain continues. Call Essential Energy on 13 20 80 if power is lost.
