Broulee illustration gives back to wildlife

Kim Defossé, a local artist, originally from Belgium (studying at the famous Karel de Grote Hogeschool) and now living in Broulee, was inspired to capture how the emotions and thoughts she held during the recent fires in an illustration that captured the very essence of the events.

Kim told The Beagle "I wanted to capture the strong feelings I held about the fires and the firefighters who have given so much to keep us, our properties and the native wildlife safe."

"When I shared my illustration on social media it received an outpour of support and interest over the piece with many requests to purchase the illustration.

"In response to the many requests I have now produced a limited number of prints which will be available to order until the 20th of March with 50% of all sales donated to Wildlife Rescue South Coast, a local wildlife charity who rescue and rehabilitate native animals.

Kim is able to produce the illustration in a variety of sizes and even specific detail.
