Tuross Head Vets golf results for Wednesday 8 May 2019
"With a number of regular Vets golfers away for the week a smaller than normal field of 45 players contested the 2 Person Ambrose event this week. Winners on the day were Dorothy Madden teaming with Steve Johnston with a fine score of 32. They were followed home by Steve Collins and Greg Ware, and Solveig Olsson teaming with Ken Brown, both on 32.25 but with the former winning on count back. Lance Shadbolt and Len Rogers filled fourth place on 34.25. Balls or chocolates were won by Tim Starr and Les Johanson on 34.5, and on 34.75 the teams of David Williams and Allen Lee together with Greg Thornton and Richard Kelly.
Newcomers to the game Greg Bush and Geoff Bellingham took out this weeks infamous Bradman award. Nearest the pins were won by Ken Brown on the 4th, Steve Johnston on the 6th, and Dorothy Madden and Steve Swanbury on the 7th. The accuracy award was won by another newcomer Jonathon Green.
