Tuross Head Country Club low handicap golfer Ken Brown emerged as the winner of the stableford competition with a round of 37 stableford points on Saturday.
He was closely followed by Peter Dugan with 36 points.
David Schmid 35 points and Trevor Jones and Michael Kermode, who both returned cards of 35 points, filled the remaining award positions.
Graeme Bell and Wayne Fullerton won the 2 Ball Best Ball competition, held in conjunction with the single stableford round, with a score of 43 points.
Nearest the pins were won by:
A grade golfer John Phyland on the 4th hole with a close 95 centimetres.
Marty Booth was the best on the 6th with 1.51 m and Al Gannon won the 7th hole with 9.47m.
B grade player Trevor Jones was closest on the 4th hole with 2.3m.
Reg Apps won the 6th with 3.3 m and Andrew Gordon the 7th with 10m.
Ross Hendy scored for the C grade division with 1.03 on the 4th hole.
Peter Dugan was best on the 6th with 3.12 m and Ian Kingston won the 7th with 9.36m.
Thursday’s medley competition was won by Peter McRae with an excellent 42 points ahead of Tony Russell 38 points, Ron Rogers and Stephen Swanbury both finished with 37 pints.
Nearest the pins were won by Bruce Hindley, Stephen Swanbury and Trevor Jones.
Tuross Head golfers are reminded that the club championship commences this weekend.
Held over 54 holes, the competition will be played on Saturday May 4th and Sunday May 5th. The final round will be held on Saturday May 11th.
