The 2019 Candelo Village Festival this weekend

THE LITTLE VILLAGE WITH A BIG CULTURE FESTIVAL

Candelo might be only a small town, but it packs a festival with a big program.

On Thursday night from 6pm to 9pm, the Kameruka Bush Orchestra will wind up Anzac Day and offer a prelude to the Candelo Festival with a family bush dance in the Candelo Town Hall.

The Festival officially gets underway on Friday night with an opening party featuring a stack of live music from a stellar lineup of Candelo-based musos, followed by The Figmentz with their “50 Years Since Woodstock” show that promises to be a blast.

The entire weekend is packed with music, performance, workshops, a land education program, good vibes and great fun.

The Festival program has something for everyone.

From the very best of local and not-so-local musicians, writers and artists, to a workshop for aspiring actors, to opportunities to gain new knowledge and skills in fields as diverse as broom-making, snake awareness, meat curing, fermenting, baking and climate smart farming.

Candelo Village Festival is not to be missed. Lots of info here

The Festival is spread throughout the village; in the park, in the hall, the pub, the general store and the bowling club.

Food and beverages will be available all over town with the Cows Nest Community Cafe and the Oliver Sublette Bar in the hall operating along with all the fine food and refreshments venues Candelo is so well known for. There will also be tried and true food and beverage vans in the park.

Festival tickets are still available at Candelo General Store, Magpie Music, Bega and online at the Festival website.

Join the Candelo community for a festival that celebrates everything that makes Candelo unique. Candelo - a small town with a big festival and a bigger heart.
