In support of the global movement "school strike for climate" the Moruya High school prefect group will be hosting a picnic at lunchtime, 12:55pm, on the Friday the 15th of march on the front oval for students to learn and talk about how we as adults of the future can help make a change in the climate crisis.
Moruya High students will be joining with 42 other registered School Stike For Climate actions across the country from Adelaide to Yeppoon.

Attendees will be invited to join in a 'walkout' to the council chambers in period 5 and 6, from 1:35 pm, on the day to attempt to show the people in power our passion for the issue and our desire to be heard. All you have to do is turn up and help us make a change because if they won't, we will.
It is understood, as advised by other local principles, that there has been a directive from "higher up" that schools are not to be involved.
The day is a an International Student day of Striking to make a clear statement.
