Tackle World Fishing report for Dec 21st

Your up-to-date fishing report from the team at Tackle World Moruya

Moruya River

Garland Town flats have been fishing well for whiting, bream and flathead using surface lures like Jackson poppers and Bassday Sugapens. Fresh beach worms and nippers are also working well if soaking a bait is more your style.Throwing soft plastics and deep diving hard bodied lures around the bridge flats has seen some nice flathead caught this week. Schools of whiting are also hanging around in the same area and surface poppers are working great.

Tuross River

The entrance to the river is holding good schools of whiting. Baits like nippers and fresh beach worms are catching plenty. Bassday Sugapens are also working well.Good numbers of sizable flathead have been caught in the shallows opposite the boat shed using both live poddy mullet and soft plastics like Gulp swimming mullet.

Cranka Crabs are back in stock and they have been working exceptionally well on bream along the rock wall near the boat shed.

Rocks and Beaches

Whiting and bream have been caught using fresh beach worms for bait. Some nice size salmon are also coming in off the beaches and also off the break wall using pillies for bait. The odd flathead has also been caught along the beaches throwing small metal vibes into the surf.

Squid are on the bite around South Broulee and Bingi. We have a great range of Ika, Shimano and Yamashita jigs in-store.

Offshore

Snapper are being caught around Pedro Point/ Congo area using Lunds squid and pillies. The reefs are also fishing well for mowies, Nanagai and reds and some large mako sharks have also been spotted hanging around. If your chasing a nice feed of flathead over Christmas then Windsock beach is the place to go.

The 40 metre mark has produced plenty of good sized table fish this past week.
