Free Narooma workshop for supervisors of learner drivers

A free workshop in Narooma will help prepare supervisors of learner drivers for the challenge of teaching young people how to drive.

The Help Learner Drivers Become Safe Drivers workshop will feature practical tips on filling in the learner logbook, planning safe driving lessons, giving instructions and constructive feedback, and information on the NSW Graduating Licensing Scheme.

Council’s Road Safety Officer Kate McDougall said the workshops had been successfully held in Batemans Bay and Moruya earlier this year and now it was Narooma’s turn.

“We hold these workshops annually to help ensure local learner drivers have the best possible introduction to driving,” she said.

“Their life might depend on it.

“The workshop will include practical advice and also highlights the crucial role supervisors of learners play in making our roads safer.”

The workshop will be held from 6.45pm to 8.45pm on Thursday 29 November at Narooma High School. To book phone Council's Road Safety Officer Kate McDougall on 4474 1353.
