High Scores Win Out at Tuross Vets Golf

On yet another beautiful morning a field of 61 players, including two visitors from Brisbane, registered for today's Single Stableford event, the game also being the third and final round of the Elaine Jennings trophy for lady players. Scoring proved to be somewhat easy so it seems with multiple scores in the twenties.

Results for the day were as follows:

1st: Kathy Crossling with a score of 26 points, on count back.

2nd: Ron Hanlon, also with 26 points.

3rd: Ross Hendy returning from a long layoff with hand injuries scoring 23 points, on count back.

Ball or Chocolate:

Kevin Dukes on 23, Wall Williams and Herb Muriwai on 22, Solveig Olsson, Greg Thornton, Leonie Snodgrass and Jeanette Miller on 21, Robert McKirdy on 20, and finally Ken Brown, Bruce Ware, Sandra Hanlon, Gail Rogers and Noel Fletcher all on 19.

Bradman Award:

Despite promise, John Cox's game let him down this week and he was the unfortunate winner of this week's award.

4th: Ian Miller.

6th: Rick Brake.

Ladies 7th: Leonie Snodgrass, in the hole with a birdie.
