There is $2200 up for grabs for schools who busk at the Narooma Busking Championship on the 26th May, 2018. Local busking champions, The Narooma Rhythm Hunters inspired the Rotary Club of Narooma’s Busking Committee to create separate categories for schools to enter and win fantastic prizes in 2018. And this is a positive move for other buskers as well because they are separate.

Schools with more than 200 students are eligible to compete in the Large Schools category. There must be at least three students in the school group and there can be as many groups from the same school as the school chooses to enter. The winning group from a large school will win $500 (sponsored by IGA Narooma & Dalmeny), second prize will win $200 (Amooran Motel) and third prize will win $100 (Betta Home & Living).
Schools with less than 200 students are eligible to compete in the Small Schools category. Again, there must be at least three students in the school group and there can be as many groups from the same school as the school chooses to enter. The winning group from a small school will win $500 and second prize will win $100. Both prizes were sponsored by Quota Club of Narooma.
In 2018, Narooma Busking Championship are introducing the People’s Choice School Group category and the winner of this will receive $500 from Ben Bate Real Estate. Second prize will win $200 (Home & Hardware) and third prize winners will receive $100 from Wrapaholics.
