Father and son combination win Tuross Head 4BBB competition

Tuross Head Country Club men's golf competition round, a single stableford event and a combined 4BBB round, resulted in the winning pair event, being won by Michael and Lachlan Nordsvan, a father and son team, from the Canberra Fairbairn Golf Club.

The family are regular holiday visitors to Tuross Head and Lachlan, who is only 12 years of age, has impressed local golfers with his play around the course.
 

Paul Scholze won the single stableford competition with a round of 43 points, ahead of Michael Kermode 41 who beat Trevor Jones on a countback. David Schmid and Tony Russell followed both finishing with 40 points.
 

Nearest the pins were won by:

A grade golfer Ian Lawson on the 4th hole with 4.22 m.

Daryl Kildey won the 6th with 1.10 m and

Steve Walker the 7th with 22.20 m.
 

B grade player Trevor Jones was best on the 7th with 1.85 m

Richard Kelly was closest on the 6th with 5.90 m and

Jim Wade won the 7th hole with 3.82 m.
 

C grade best was Mike Kermode on the 4th hole with 4.38 m and

Bruce Brawn was awarded the 6th hole with 1.07 m.

Jim Wade had the satisfaction of having an eagle on the par 5 tenth hole.

Thursday's mixed medley stableford competition was also won by our visiting young golfer Lachlan Nordsvan with 40 points on a countback from Bruce Martin.
 

David Gray 39 points and Tony Russell with 36 points filled the remaining positions.

Nearest the pins were won by Peter Mostyn on the 4th hole with 0.62m, Ron Rogers won the 6th with 7.15 m and
 

Beverley Theobald was closest on the 7th with 1.42m.
