Celebrating Spring 2017 in Braidwood

Three Piece Suite present Magic Mozart

Sunday 19th November @ 2pm

St Andrews Anglican Church, Elrington St, Braidwood

Three Piece Suite make their debut in Braidwood on Sunday 19th November at 2pm with Magic Mozart

The string trio of Rachel Westwood (violin), Valmai Coggins (viola) and Deborah Coogan (cello) are in their fifth year of performing a regular series in NSW, continuing to provide the highest quality chamber music to appreciative local audiences. Their latest program celebrates the return of guest flautist James Fortune with an all-Mozart program. After successful concerts in October in Moruya, Blackheath and Sydney, now Braidwood gets to share the magic!

While sometimes rumoured to have disliked the flute, Mozart wrote his Flute Quartet in A major K 298 as a humorous and affectionate tribute to his friends. The mighty Divertimento in E flat major K 563 is the first significant piece ever written for string trio.

Finally, enjoy some of the most popular tunes from his opera The Magic Flute, arranged in 1793 by Franz Heinrich Ehrenfried for flute and strings.

Unlike some, we can't promise that listening to Mozart will raise your IQ, but you will experience some of the most beautiful, profound and uplifting music there is.

After the performance, meet and mingle with the musicians over afternoon tea.
