Recently Federal Member for Gilmore Ann Sudmalis announced the delivery of $13.8 million for works on the Far North Collector Road, an essential first step for later construction of the New Nowra Bridge.The existing bridge is 130 years old and not suitable for the increasing volume of traffic using it, with almost 50,000 vehicles crossing the bridge each day,”

"A new crossing over the Shoalhaven River will greatly improve congestion issues on the Princes Highway, in particular at the Illaroo Road, Bolong Road and Bridge Road/Pleasant Way intersections." said Ms Sudmalis
"If we could keep the old bridge what would you like to see it used for?" she asks
