Tuross Head golfers competed in an 18 hole par competition on Saturday August 18th with
Andrew Gordon emerging as the winner with a round of plus 1 achieved in very windy conditions.
He was followed by Adam Husband who was square for the day.
Kane Duncan and Derek Hoare both handed in cards of minus 1 with Stephen Crossling filling the remaining award position with minus 2.
This was the final round of the annual triathlon and the winner will be announced next week.
Nearest the pins were awarded to:
A grade player Rick Monopoli on the 4th hole with 4.08 m.
Reg Apps was closest on the 6th with 1.12m and
Ken Brown won the 7th with 6.90 m.
B grade player Steve Swanbury was awarded the 4th hole with 2.28 m.
Frank Pomfret was best on the 6th with 22.47 m and
Kevin dukes won the 7th hole with 5.19m.
C grade golfer Andrew Gordon won the 4th with a very close 0.44 m and
Mick Elfar the 6th with 4.71 m.
The coming Saturday competition is a single stableford event.
Thursday’s 18 hole medley stableford competition was won by David Schmid with 35 points ahead of Mark Haberkorn, Rex Wood and Wendy Schmid all on 34 points.
Nearest the pins were won by Tim Watson with 3.16 m on the 4th hole and
Ian Wark with 9.10 m on the 7th.
