On 1st March twenty five people attended Narooma Camera Club’s technical training evening at Club Narooma.
The evening was directed mainly at beginners and less experienced photographers with a view to telling them how aperture, shutter speed and ISO work in conjunction to give better control than just setting cameras on automatic. Members then practised the principles by taking photographs of various items set on tables.
Despite all the technical matters, It was an enjoyable evening and we were pleased to welcome three new members.
Further training evenings are scheduled throughout the year. On 5 April tuition will be provided on how to use Adobe Photoshop and Light Room.
Wednesday 15 March saw the club’s monthly competition take place. The set subject was “Long Exposure” and members produced some dramatic and high quality images. The judge for the evening was Ken Foster who is a NSW Federation of Camera Clubs registered adjudicator. Ken commented on the excellent quality of the entries and said that picking the winners was a difficult task.

Narooma Camera Club will be holding its annual exhibition at Club Narooma during the Easter weekend, commencing 6 pm on Good Friday and finishing 10 pm on Easter Sunday. Entry is free and visitors will be offered the opportunity to vote for their favourite photos.
Our club welcomes new members and visitors whether beginners or experienced photographers.
