Linda Burney is the first Aboriginal woman to serve in the House of Representatives. She was also the first Aboriginal person to serve in the NSW Parliament. Hear Linda speak on issues important to women.

After Linda’s talk, we will have having some interaction with guests by way of a community conversation based on this year’s IWD theme “ #Be Bold for Change this IWD 2017” asking guests if they would like to express how they feel they can be “Bold for Change”
 

 
Not mentioned in the poster below is that donations made on the day will be going to the Moruya Women’s Refuge and we will be requesting that attendees consider donating a handbag (ie an old handbag) containing women’s toiletries.
