Dear Beagle Editor,
I was alarmed to see the extent of tidal inundation in Narooma this morning at the top of the King Tide.
The King Tide was only 1.93m. Narooma has had king tides in above 2.0m in the past.
What can be seen in these photos is the effect of tide only. If you add a storm surge pushing waves into the inlet or the effect of any flooding caused by rains in the catchment the height of water builds.
But these photos are of a quiet day sunny with an average King Tide of 1.93m.

One is a shot of Taylor's restaurant in Forster's Bay.
The others show the storm drain near Lynch street and two shots of the tidal waters in Lynch Street itself. Numerous blocks in Lynch Street were very close to inundation.
If the sea levels are rising at the rate we are all being told then what is Council doing to control this increasing inundation on Narooma Flat.
