Library exhibitions - Summer 2017

January sees another fantastic array of local talent in our libraries.
 

 

 
16 January – 3 February Batemans Bay Library
 

 

 
Artist: Bronwen Smith and Gavin Chatfield A proud Walbunga woman from the Yuin Nation South East Coast of NSW, Bronwen Smith describes her art style as contemporary traditional Aboriginal.
 

 

 
She is inspired to draw and paint by the nature around her, particularly the ocean environment and sea life. Gavin Chatfield is a proud Wiradjuri man, born in Batemans Bay, New South Wales, whose bloodline runs from Gilgandra.
 

 

 
His artwork represents red dust, south coast waters and the natural environment that surrounds him. Artist Floor Talk: Tuesday 31 January 11am – 12pm

Moruya Library Artist: Phil Jones ‘Coast’ A snapshot of our stunning coastal fringe. Phil Jones is a retired local schoolteacher with a passion for the ocean and coastline.
 

 

 
A surfer for more than 50 years, kayaker, swimmer and walker, he loves to share, through photography, the essence of our local environment. Artist Floor Talk: Thursday 2 February 5 – 6pm
 

 

Narooma Library Artist: Rita Wagner Rita is a mixed media artist and author, who writes, paints and exhibits.
 

 

 
She loves to pass on her love of art by teaching others. Her artworks are an interesting mix of watercolour and collage. Artist Floor Talk: Wednesday 1 February 11am – 12pm
